Bungo Stray Dogs (cats) as cats!

As the title says! Bungo stray dogs, or should I say bungo stray cats? Whatever, I hope you guys have fun reading this as much as I had while writing these random hc about them as cats.

The character included in this post are: Dazai, Chuuya, Nikolai, Fyodor, Ranpo and Sigma!

Dazai, also known as Catzai!

Dazai must be one of the strangest cats you've ever had in your life.

His personality.. He is always playful and energetic, rarely gets tired, and spends most of his time hunting and purposely bringing dead animals into your bed so that you are scared and disgusted.

He's rather lazy... And enjoys naping in boxes or drawers. If these are not open, he'll just open them. He's really clever!

One of his favorite activities is to throw everything he sees, and if that were not enough, he stares at you while he commits such an act, so that you are aware that he did it, even if he blackmails you later with that appearance and little eyes! Who won't forgive him?

Being a fairly energetic cat, you will rarely see him sleeping, but I can assure you that when he is bored and has no one to bother, he is very likely to fall asleep in the most remote places of your house, or if he is generous, in your bag. He loves to lie next to you in your bed and meow if you don't let him snuggle up next to you. It's quite a drama.

Without forgetting that he is a dramatic feline, it is not expected that he will spend most of his time meowing.

Normally he is a fairly affectionate cat, but somewhat radical. Sometimes he wants to, sometimes he doesn't. The times he wants to (and he doesn't ask you to pamper him, he forces you himself) he is very cuddly and constantly turns and repositions himself to receive more caresses, it doesn't matter where, he will like them.

But pay attention! Don't be fooled by how he allows himself to be petted all the time. Don't get too close to his bandaged paws, they are usually quite sensitive and contact can make him uncomfortable. As long as you are delicate and do not insist on those areas, Dazai will always allow himself to be caressed, whatever the moment.

Osamu's favorite toys are a couple of rolls of bandages that he rolls over and plays with. Other toys included are clearly your hands, makeup, or any belongings of yours that are welcome!

Speaking of his other favorite toys, Dazai is a cruel cat sometimes, he doesn't mind ruining your makeup with his little claws, but if you get really angry with him, I don't think he'll hesitate much to meow sadly, rubbing against you or snuggling near you. He will eventually feel guilty, and if you reject him, he will move away and give you space and maybe later try to approach you again. In the last few hours Dazai probably would not be in the mood to play, sleep, or do anything except lay with his head down, thinking.

When he accidentally scratches or bites you, whether intentionally or not, he will at first 'laugh' (rather look at you mischievously) at your exaggerated "ouch!" If it ever hurts more than necessary and he sees blood present, much or little, his ears will tilt slightly and he will come closer to clean your wound with his tongue. Dazai usually feels bad for hurting you, but he knows he doesn't have to be sad over something so small, right?

But not everything is so sad! Come on, let's cheer up! Osamu is agile when it comes to showing off, I mean, who's going to blame him? He is a beauty and model. Even if you don't like letting him out just because the female cats who need a male follow him home, Dazai always tends to run away, but he always comes back after an hour or two. Likewise, his loyalty is only to you!

A few days ago your pet, Dazai, had been a little suspicious, from time to time he tried to get into your bag, you didn't know the exact reason, but he tried to be as stealthy as possible. Until the day comes when you go shopping to buy food for Dazai, and when you open the bag, you find a little head poking out of the bag, followed by a pronounced meow. You are surprised and sigh, giving in to petting him for a while while he purrs. Maybe Dazai himself would like to choose his meal based on seafood after all.

Now, to close his section!

How does he sleep and how does he like to sleep? It's quite varied, there are times when he sleeps with his stomach visible, showing you that he trusts you! Other times in the form of a ball or the most common: sleeping curled up under your pajamas (he literally gets under your shirt and snuggles against your chest, this also means that it feels your heat and your body more closely).

Dazai likes to sleep in many ways, but his favorite will always be curled up close to you, enjoying the warmth of your body, and if not, he'll offer to be your fluffy heater himself.

Chuuya, also known as Chuucat!

He must be one of the most expensive cats you have ever had, it was a sought-after breed, but not only for that, also because you spent a lot of money on hus toys, high-quality food and comforts of all kinds.

Chuuya and Dazai were almost always fighting, and several times they fought, and although Chuuya almost always won regardless of his height, Dazai would sometimes walk away, although other times he would fight back. And every time you saw them, you separated them and pushed them away.

Sometimes Chuuya and Dazai were quiet, side by side, doing nothing but lying down and watching TV, but that didn't stop Dazai from teasing him at times, although at those times Chuuya sometimes let himself be lightly hugged by Dazai.

Chuuya mostly meows at you to help him put on his not-so-cheap hat and collar. Once you put it on, he is always in a better mood.

Chuuya may not be the most affectionate cat, at first he doesn't allow himself to be petted but little by little he will allow himself to be petted until he gains confidence even if it costs him.

Chuuya is usually quite grateful, if you buy him a bed or house type toy he will not ignore it and will not use it since he knows that it has cost you money and he does not want to make you feel sad, so he will always use and enjoy what you buy if he can.

Although it's not too far-fetched an idea, sometimes Chuuya will lie down and curl up next to you, seeking attention. This happens when he feels sad or just want attention. When Chuuya is sad, he stands next to you, with not very loud meows, and waits for you to hug him or pet him while saying nice words to him.

Chuuya is a strong feline and likes to practice his new strategies when fighting, strategies he sometimes uses with Dazai as he refuses to attack other stray cats unless one intentionally provokes him, picks a fight, or is attacked for no reason.

Even if it costs him, Chuuya tries to trust you. Friends are important to him and whoever is his friend, he will be loyal and friendly towards him.

Nakahara approached you one day, with his tail raised and the tip to the side, indicating that he wants to interact and is friendly. Chuuya meowed as he sat next to you, watching what you were looking at on your phone, and waited patiently for you to finish answering him, but after a while, Chuuya sat in your arms, covering your phone and forcing you to pay attention to it.

He's really protective and loyal to you!

In conclusion, Chuuya is usually like this: Affectionate= sometimes, not all the time (7/10). The times he comes to force you to pamper him= quite strange (2/10), he usually doesn't care much if he receives pampering or not, but he also doesn't complain if you bombard him with affection.

Nikolai, also known as Nikocat or Catlai!

Nikolai is the definition of chaos in the house.

When he is alone, when you get home, don't be surprised to see some scratched things nearby, or some hidden objects that you may not find for days.

Nikolai is a rather... energetic feline so to speak, you will see him all the time playing tricks, pranks and annoying you most of the time.

Pranks can range from hiding your belongings, playing with dangerous objects, or using your couch as something to sharpen his nails.

In his free time he sits in your arms and bothers you, not letting you finish your things, blocking your vision so you couldn't do anything while he was there.

His tail is fluffy and as a result of this, you can't help but put a pom pom or a bow on his tail.

He lets you pet him as long as you want, but he has moments where he just scratches or bites you on purpose.

One of his favorite activities is to disappear and return unexpectedly when you least expect it.

That is, one day you could be lying quietly looking for your pet, and when you couldn't find him, you would get agitated and desperately try to look for him, but it didn't appear, and just when you were about to do so. You went out to look for him and that's when you found him on top of a piece of furniture.

Don't worry when nothing scares you on Halloween! In your bed or in any unexpected place you will find a dead and bloody animal, be it a bird, a mouse, even insects...

Although Nikolai is very agile, he tends to get dirty quickly due to the color of his coat, a snow white with heterochromia and a feathered tail that looks like a braid.

You still remember when a friend came to visit and Nikolai, bored, decided to attack him till he eventually left.

In conclusion, he is a mischievous cat who makes jokes whenever he has the right moment. If he doesn't like a person, he won't hesitate to do everything in his power get rid of them so they won't come close to you or him, even if it means attacking them or scaring them. Although... Nikolai might like everyone.

Always get himself in trouble.

He also loves to sometimes go outside and catch birdies. He takes care of mouses and rats since they remind him of Fyocat.

Fyodor, also known as Fyocat!

You could say that Fyodor is the typical feline stereotype: an independent cat who doesn't care about his owner and believes he owns everything.

He is too relaxed and carefree a cat to worry about doing meaningless things.

He is one of the most relaxed cats you have ever had in your life, he almost never meows, he always stays away from you and he also has no interest in hunting.

Hunting is not one of his favorite things, the truth is that he prefers to play and have a good time with any rodent he finds, especially rats. But that doesn't mean that he doesn't usually hunt, sometimes he hunts insects and crushes them, or simply bites them until they are split in half, and then takes care of grabbing them and throwing them in the trash on their own. He's not a fan of insects.

He is not a very affectionate cat either, he does not seek attention nor does he need it since everything he does he prefers to do alone, without background noises.

It's relatively easy for him to convince you to give him some pretty expensive snacks. Although he normally uses manipulation to get you to give it to him, the same goes for wanting something, if you don't want to give it to him he will resort to other psychological methods.

He doesn't usually sleep much as he takes care of other matters that don't concern you based on his body language. He almost never sleeps, and when it's morning he usually falls asleep accidentally, secretly.

He is not a cat that seeks caresses or needs them, but from time to time when he feels stressed and wants a break (which is not very possible) less than a minute of caressing is enough for him.

Other cats usually annoy him for the simple fact of being a little different from the others, but this doesn't matter too much to him.

The fact that he is very intelligent allows him to trick you and weaker cats. Also to plan strategies that helps him do things without using violence.

He doesn't usually go out because he stays in his place and doesn't know what he's doing. Fyodor is quite reserved.

Ranpo, also known as Rancat!

He's the most... peculiar cat you've ever had, he seems much more like a dog than a cat.

He is very playful and usually has a lot of energy, he is also very playful and will not miss any opportunity to play!

On the other hand, he is energetic, but not capable of running or climbing like other cats, as he tires quickly, or simply refuses to do so without receiving anything in return.

His red flag is that he is not going to do anything if he does not receive something in return, whether it be some snacks or some caresses and cuddles.

He loves to receive attention and if he doesn't get it he forces you with meows and staring at you with his eyes until you feel compassion and pity for him.

Ranpo usually likes snacks that taste relatively sweet (even if they don't have sugar because otherwise it would hurt him).

He likes to play with toys, although after a few minutes he gets bored and starts playing with his fingers.

His little hat sometimes falls off quite frequently, so you'll have to help him put it on like a toddler.

One of Ranpo's favorite things is to lie down in front of you with his belly up so people can pet him.

Although nothing compares to your attention, whenever possible try to get everyone to pet him and praise him for how intelligent he is.

Ranpo's brown fur and brown eyes (yes, his eyes are originally brown, Bones changed them to green in the anime) make him look like chocolate.

He is a very friendly cat, but that doesn't mean that he sometimes gets "angry" with you.

You still remember the day when he was angry at you for such silly thing. It all started with one morning when you forgot to pet Ranpo like a good morning accompanied by a kiss (since yes, that's all part of Ranpo's routine) and since then, almost the entire day he was upset with you, both who ignored you and refused to even eat his favorite snacks in front of you (he only ate them once you left so he wouldn't give you the satisfaction of making him stop being upset). It wasn't until the evening that his anger passed and he decided to come to your room meowing and demanding attention while snuggling in your arms.

Sigma, also known as Sigcat!

Sigma is a little... Interesting sometimes, but you know what they say, since he is an owner, so will his pet /hj.

He hates everything that has to do with beaches. Never try to take him to the beach as he will hate it. Sigma doesn't really like seeing sand, and although he hates deserts even more, he also can't help but feel uncomfortable when he sees sand on the beach since it reminds him of deserts.

It is a small kitty in which discomfort usually predominates. Every time there is guests he hides and doesn't come out until they leave.

Sigma is a big fan of cookies, but since he is a cat he can't eat them because it would cause problems, so sometimes you buy him cat food in the form of cookies, and when you can't find it, you mix types of feed you give it the shape.

One thing he loves is being up high, no matter where he is, he will always try to stay where there is more height, that's why you had to buy him a little house with enough scratching posts so that he can climb on them and sit or sleep on the top of the structure.

It only trusts his owner, no one else. He will only trust if his owner trusts that other person (although for that to work he has to be used to that person's presence).

He likes to be petted, although excessive contact can stimulate him too much and make him feel uncomfortable.

He has a unique coat! Almost all the people who saw your pet repeat it to you.

He is an indoor cat, he doesn't like to go out. He limits himself to observing nature and living beings from the window.

When you want him to come with you, you can buy him a comfortable bag with blankets and an opening so he can stick his head out. Above all, you want to be comfortable and be as inconspicuous as possible.

How are you going to blame this adorable feline when he accidentally ruins something? Whoever does it is heartless! Poor Sigma would surely be very nervous and guilty.

Good luck with taking care of his fur! It'll take a long time.

I just saw Barbie. I'm writing meta about it. This is your spoiler warning. Do not read past this if you don't want to be spoiled. Additionally I'm going to discuss radical feminism and liberal feminism. I am neither I'm a feminist, but as a trans person I find both strains to be inaccessible and I prefer a more intersectional approach, just to state my bias upfront. Additionally I anticipate getting multiple "it's not that deep" comments on this meta. To which I respond that the movie may be deeply unserious at times but it does try to tackle gender which means we should get to talk about it.

I do want to acknowledge that this is the movie of the year, and that it's made by Mattel and Warner Brothers and as such it was literally never going to be based and the best we can hope for is what it was, which is liberal girlboss feminism. The movie was very fun and very good and it did have a surprisingly coherent view of gender and it did some things that I did like when it came to that HOWEVER as a gay transgender man watching the movie it's lack of a queer perspective was very obvious to me and took me out of it occasionally.

So I just want to establish for those who have not seen it but are reading this meta how gender works in this movie. And to recap the movie with a focus on the gender stuff rather than the main Pinocchio plot. The movie starts in Barbie land where Barbies have a good day every day and Kens only have a good day when Barbies smile at them. In Barbie land all the powerful jobs are occupied by Barbies and all the Kens have the nebulous job of "beach" which means that whatever the Barbies decide goes and the Kens are more or less subject to their whims (no word on how the Midges or Skippers or Allen fit into this barbie based higherarchy. One could guess based on a couple of scenes but it's never really lingered on)

Ken(Ryan Gosling)'s world revolves around Barbie(Margot Robbie). Ken(RG) is Barbie's(MR) boyfriend, but Barbie is good friends with Ken(Simu Liu) who she dances with and who is generally less cringefail than Ken(RG). Ken(RG) is frequently jealous of Ken(SL). Ken(RG) is also somewhat taken for granted. Barbie doesn't seem to care that much about him. He tries to kiss barbie, she doesn't reciprocate. Ken tries to hang out with Barbie, she kicks him out because it's girls night, as it is every night. So on and so forth. Barbie is not obligated to care about Ken, but she's clearly not putting in any work into maintaining this creator ordained relationship and it's clearly upsetting to Ken.

Barbie is experiencing some Real Girl tm problems such as flat feet and thoughts of death and weird Barbie who has been played with too much sends her into the real world to fix it. Ken(SL) goads Ken(RG) into going with Barbie into the real world. When Barbie learns Ken is coming her immediate assumption is that he'll slow him down.

When Ken and Barbie enter LA Barbie immediately starts experiencing Misogyny. Ken similarly starts experiencing privileges as a man which he did not have in Barbie land. This is heavy handed. Barbie verbally states that she feels like she's being gawked at in an almost violent way and Ken says he feels admired in a not at all violent way (with the outfit Ken was wearing and how he was still carrying himself with deference to barbie I sincerely doubt he would experience exactly 0 homophobia but it was necessary for him to feel that way in order to make his character arc work so I'll let it slide).

Ken goes for a walk without Barbie while barbie does plot relevant activities. He sees women showing respect to men, he sees a slide show of some kind of male role models. He feels like he can be something in this world. So he goes to a middle school library and picks up some books about patriarchy. He tries to get a job in the real world, it goes poorly, so he decides to go back to Barbie land and establish patriarchy there.

Barbie comes back to Barbie land with a friendly human woman named Gloria who works for Mattel and her MCR listening 12 year old daughter. On the way she tells her new human friend and her daughter that Barbies are in charge in Barbie land and women have all the important jobs. But as they drive into Barbie land they find that Ken has gone full radfem in their absence. He's flipped the Barbie-Ken higherarchy on its head. He's turned the dream house into a man cave. And he's some how convinced the Barbies to behave like sandwich making foot massage providing girlfriends.

And here's where I would like to start doing some meta. What has happened here? Ken is essentially a (less complex than human on account of being a doll) cisgender heterosexual white woman. He is in proximity to the ruling party, Barbie who is like a cishet white man. Ken is not on the margins the way that Allen and Midge are. His occupation is Barbie's boyfriend. Ken got a taste of what it was like when the gendered oppression that he is used to is flipped and he decided that's what he wants. He doesn't much care how the discontinued dolls feel about this, he's not thinking about them, nor is the movie. He doesn't really see a problem with there being a division between Barbies and Kens, he doesn't see a problem with one group being subservient. He just doesn't want to be low on the food chain. Ken is right to want liberation for Kens but he thinks that he can obtain that by taking the jobs away from Barbies and giving them to kens. This is why I said Ken has gone full radfem in Barbie's absence. He hasn't gotten rid of the gender essentialism, he hasn't questioned whether power should be shared between Barbies and Kens. Ken is right to throw Barbies shit out of the dream house and kick her to the curb, she doesn't value him like he deserves from a relationship. He's wrong to try to change the constitution to put Kens in charge and change it to Kenland and force all Barbies into the position that Kens previously occupied. I relate this to radfems because radical feminism relies on bioessentialist assumptions and posits that men are always oppressors by their nature and that women would be better off without them. A lot of what makes terfs angry at trans women is that trans people question whether women and men are so easily separately boxed like this and trans women specifically are seen as male infiltrators. Most of them succumb to becoming transphobes before people but on a base level radical feminism is a reactionary hatred of men that is usually based in genuine hurt. Ken is on some all Barbies are pigs shit here rather than examining society and attempting to make it more equitable. I think he needs to sit down with Magic Earring Ken and talk about gender to gain some perspective.

Both me and the movie agree that Kens knee jerk Ken liberation at the Barbies' expense is wrong. Ken even later acknowledged that he didn't even care about patriarchy he just wanted to feel valued. But where me and the movie start to be at odds is when they do a girl boss style ousting of the Kens. Gloria gives a speech about the female grievance she has from the real world and it somehow works on the Barbies despite the fact that the movie previously established that sexism and all of its intricacies and the feelings it engenders are completely foreign to the Barbies. But the Barbies have always been in charge in Barbie land. They're passingly familiar with real world sexism as an abstract concept that they believe they defeated in the 1960s, but they don't experience it, they live in a everyone is valid girlboss utopia. The only way to become ugly is for someone in the real world to play with you too hard, something they can't control. There's no pressure to be pretty because everyone is already pretty and they compliment each other routinely. Barbie doesn't experience any problems being perfect until Gloria starts drawing her with existential dread, and all of the other Barbies are horrified by it as if they've never heard of such a thing. It's a malady that their dear friend is experiencing not a fact of life like it would have to be for Gloria's message to land.

Then they come up with this plan and they free the Barbies and use romantic jealousy to turn the Kens against each other. My problem with this is that in the established world where Kens are the repressed gender, this is essentially putting a bunch of dolls who's oppression is based in being a romantic object for Barbie into misery business ass situations. We're really weaponizing the Kens' internalized misandry against them and saying girlboss? The Kennish desire for Barbie's validation is being used as a tool to oppress them and the movie just... Doesn't see it despite seeming to having coherent liberal feminist messaging*.

Speaking of Liberal feminist messaging. When the Kens realize they've been turned against each other they link arms and head to where the Barbies are. The Barbies have put their constitution back in place. Ken(RG) realizes he's lost and he runs inside crying and Barbie comes to comfort him. Barbie pays lip service to Ken finding who he is without her and to them being "Barbie" and "Ken" instead of "Barbie and Ken" but then when the Kens band together and ask for a supreme court justice President Barbie gives them a concession of a lower court justice and the Kens have to work their way up, the voice over stating that maybe they'll get to where women are irl in a couple decades, and this is treated as a victory somehow. Like putting the girl boss barbietopia back in place at the expense of the Kens is somehow better than the Kens doing the same but in the opposite direction. This after she apologizes to weird Barbie and offers her a cabinet position, treating the most ostracized barbie as more valuable then any Ken.

The closest the movie ever comes to acknowledgeing a perspective outside of the Barbie/Ken binary is when Allen tries to leave Barbieland during the Ken takeover. Allen seems discontented with both the barbieocracy and the kenocracy and he tries to escape containment when Gloria and her emo daughter are leaving Barbie land. He argues that no one will give a shit about a life-sized Allen in the real world because nobody remembers Allen and then he tries to leave with them. Gloria and her daughter change their minds and go back to help Barbie and Allen's plot line just ends there.

There's all these cameos from background and discontinued Dolls. Skipper who's boobs get bigger, Barbie who's a camera, sugardaddy Ken, and magic earring Ken are all in weird Barbies weird house, Midge has a house near Barbie but is judged by the voiceover for being a pregnant doll and Barbie seems to agree, and Allen is the only one who doesn't have duplicates and is sort of in the background casting doubt, but they never follow through on these dolls place in the higherarchy. Which is fine, this movie is the Barbie movie, it's about stereotypical Barbie becoming a real girl and going to the gynecologist. But I do think that they established some dolls on the margins and then left them there, and as someone on the margins in real life I want to know what's going on with them. Most people going to this movie are gonna be Barbies and Kens so they don't touch on it and I think that's kinda sad, but not every movie has to be for me I guess.

TL;DR: the Barbie movie lacks a queer perspective and has some moments where it's stated gender metaphor falls apart because of its necessarily liberal politics.

All that said. I liked the movie. I'm leveling this criticism because it was better than I expected it to be. I didn't expect to go into the theatre and think about gender like that and I did so it deserves points for that even if I have problems with the execution. I thought it would be a shallow Pinocchio plot but it did something fresh with the doll who wants to be a real girl plot and it was genuinely good cinema in terms of the effects and the music and the visual motifs. It was a fun experience I laughed several times. I would recommend it despite being critical of it.

Nagito: already pretty radical in thinking, already showed how he'll play the bad guy to incite the good guys into action. Doesnt have a lot of years left so he could be convinced that this was the only way for him to ever see the world he wants to see in his own lifetime, by speeding up the process of despair-to-hope. Doing it for a "good" reason, totally believes the world will be a better place after all is said and done.

2. Mikan: long history of abuse, was I think supposed to be one of Junkos first, with Junko being the first person to be 'nice' to her? Would be somewhat easy to make her dependent on Junko's gross simile of love. She also wants power over people (to make sure they can't/ wont hurt her) so as soon as you dangle the possibility of her new and slightly less shitty life being taken from her, should she not cooperate, I think she'd fold easily. Also wow she does show some concerning tendencies.

3. Peko: If Fuyuhiko had already been gotten, she'd follow easily, at first maybe to make sure he's safe, but unfortunately I think that a despaired Fuyuhiko wouldn't be above manipulating or ordering Peko around, and she's already half-brainwashed by the Kuzuryuu family. She's proven that she can and will kill. I think if she perceived it as for other people's safety, she'd do it more easily. Follows orders.

4. Impostor: such a good person, but regrettably also super sad. At first I thought maybe they'd be very hard to corrupt, but considering how lonely and ghostly they are, it might actually be kind of easy to both give them access to a lot of disguises (easier to pretend to be someone who's super recently and secretly dead) and also a chance to figure out who they themselves are. Even if that person is a super cruel and evil one, I don't think that's an objection as long as it's a very present and dynamic personality (they did want to impersonate Byuakuya after all) that can be switched off and on at will.

5. Hiyoko: already has some sadistic tendencies and comes from a position of power, but not at all independent, also childlike way of thinking king so easy to mould. Superiority complex a bit. She doesn't like working with people though or taking orders, so she'd need something decidedly in it for her, like all the extra power and safety and ability to bully people.

6. Fuyuhiko: Raised with the idea that killing and violence is necessary and not that big of a deal, has proven that he's capable of murder under the right circumstance. If he's isolated from his family and Peko, it's probably easy to tap into his general anger. What gets in the way is how he doesn't usually want to involve 'civilians' in crime and is kind of a stickler for rules, so I think if he was convinced that the school itself sucked, and then the people behind the school, and then the government, by then he'd be powerful enough to just do whatever he (Junko) wants.

7. Gundham: not a huge fan of people and very isolated, I think maybe he could be got with Poison Ivy style radicalism? Like "look at how badly these people treat animals, its fine to treat them the same way" kind of. He's already got his own evil narrative, maybe wrapping the whole thing up in a fantasy would get him too. Go forth Actual Overlord of Ice, commit actual atrocities, you're such a tragic villain.

8. Akane: Kind of gullible and easily manipulated, also she loves fighting and proving herself so I think she can could be manipulated into like, Proving She's The Best by fighting more and more and being cheered on by people until it escalates into straight up murder. I think her family back home would be the biggest obstacle but those could be taken of.

9. Souda: generally pretty cowardly, maybe joining more out of self preservation than anything else. Maybe some real opportunities to make his mechanical dreams come true, get away from his dad & make some money, be the invincible punk he wants to be. Might also wanna impress people so if he got peer pressured by, say, Sonia, he'd be pretty gone I think.

10. Teru: Money, power and general lack of strong morals, also kind of cowardly? I think if he wasn't the first one, and saw how powerful all the villain-hopefuls are, he'd be likely to join out of self preservation like Souda (and the opportunity to make money for his mom and save his restaurant).

11. Mahiru: She's very responsible and against violence and murder, so I dont know that she'd ever really go that route, but she doesn't really need to be a killer herself. She *does* feel inferior to her mom the war photographer, and Junko is basically starting an apocalypse, and Mahiru states that a photographer should always be taking pictures even of upsetting things. So I think she'd be documenting everything while doing nothing to stop it, basically compliant through apathy and negligence.

12. Sonia: I kept thinking shed be more morally grey than she turned out to be, but no she's just actually a sweetheart. I guess her calling might just be getting away from her super strict royalty lifestyle and into the spooky grim occult stuff she likes? Like if she somehow tapped REAL deep into her fascination with morbid stuff, she might eventually take a very distant role commanding other people and just watching stuff unfold. Maybe expose her own country for some grim stuff so she loses patriotic faith?

13. Nekomaru: Listen he's an upstanding dude. I dont even know how he'd get got unless he already had an in with a student that was already corrupted, like Akane, so his protective nature could be abused. Maybe he could start out trying to make others see reason and then end up just kinda going along, idk.

14. Ibuki: Arguably the most well-adjusted? She's so independent and already knows who she is and what she wants, so I think it'd be most about giving her opportunities she could never get from anywhere else, and maybe keeping her in the dark about how destructive the concerts are at first? Maybe convince her it's super metal to have people die at your shows? Not sure tbh

I didn't count Chiaki bc I wasn't super sure about her character re: what's seen in the anime and what's seen in the game, and also not Hajime since he was kind of a special case in the first place (might speculate on him later though).

Infinity Chapter 4-

Meet The Family (PT.1)

Summary: QUEEN AU where Rog (aka Rowan Queen) is a young single dad struggling to make it into music industry.

Warnings: not really. Just fluff, sappiness and swearwords here and there

Chapter 4- Row opens up with the boys about the raisin.

“I'm a dad”........

"Okay, let's... let's get over this again: A daughter?" Terry, the band's guitarist couldn't believe his ears.

"Yes, Terry. A daughter" Row repeated for the 19th time from the other side of the phone.

"A baby." Len said, taking another sip of his tequila.

"No, a 30 year old alpaca." Row said sarcastically. "Yes, a goddamn baby. Fucking gorgeous, just so you know"

"And you're gonna keep her." Rick, who had been quietly plunking his bass' strings, added. "Are you sure?"

"It's done. I've already kept her. And it's not like I'm rescuing a shelter dog. She's mine. Period."

"Sorry, was just trying to... Wrap my head around it"

To be honest, Row still couldn't quite believe it (that he was a father). Not even now, as he tried to convince his best friends while holding his girl with the other arm.

"And is your mom okay with it?" Terry asked

He scoffed, clutching his Lil raisin close at the thought "My mom has no say in this".

"But she knows" Rick said.

He sighed "Yes, she knows. And she was a bitch about it, okay? She can disown me for all I care". It's not like there was much to inherit, anyway.

There was a general sigh from his three best friends.

"And what are you gonna do?"

" 'bout what?"

"Um, I don't know, man. About School? Maybe about your life in general?"

"School ain't something I'm worrying about".

"What a surprise" Rick rolled his eyes.

"But you're still in the band right?" Len said

"Oh, of course. Of course. You guys are gonna be the only ones keeping me sane"

They chuckled

"But we ain't gonna babysit for you, huh?"

"As if you knew anything about babies"

"Well, the same as you." Terry said

"Just what I was saying: nothing at all" Row grinned

"Her future looks bright, then" Len half teased.

"Incandescent, in fact" Row could pretty much hear Terry's arched eyebrow.

The youngest member could only roll his eyes and try not to take it as an insult. He knew this was a lot to process all of a sudden and that in the inside, beyond the sarcasm and teasing, they were happy for him.

"Whatever, guys" he replied, as Pips began to frown. He sighed, knowing that meant smelly treat was on its way "Gotta go. By the way, she just told me she thinks you guys stink" he grinned, before hanging up.

The other three men exchanged a confused glance, and stayed in silence for a minute, until Len broke it:

"I say he'll go completely nuts in seven days".

"That long? Nah, I think less than 24 hours after they leave the hospital." Terry said

Len smirked "Bet?"

"I'm a bit tight at the moment, pal"

"Then not money. If I win, you'll be my model for the midterm design project. It's 30's fashion. For ladies, of course".

"Ok. But if I win you'll do my chores for a whole weeks."

"A whole week?!"

"Seven days, if you prefer it."

They shook hands "Deal. Rick? Join us?"

"I actually rather believe that they'll be alright" Rick got up and stretched.

"Well of course they will. Eventually. Row always figures things out." T said

"The fun part is to watch him go crazy in the meantime" Len chuckled "Like when he first moved in and left a fork in the plate when first using the microwave"

They laughed, remembering how their friend had called them at 9 PM in panic, screaming the microwave had exploded.

"Let's just hope for the best. I mean he seemed quite sure of himself this time. And who knows, maybe being a dad is the best way to grow up." Rick defended

"Yea, well a bit radical, don't you think?" Len said

"Like sock therapy. If smokers quit when diagnosed with lung cancer, maybe Row settles down now he has a baby"

"I just still don't get why he didn't just put her in adoption" T said

Rick shrugged "Would you if you were in his shoes?"

"Absolutely"

"That's exactly how Row would've answered, say, a week ago. That's what we all answer. Until it really happens. I think it's one of those situations where you can't really picture until you live it."

"But this is Rowan Queen we're talking about. Rowan <<Made out with both Jones Twins at the same party Cause I didn't remember which was which>> Queen. I mean, he does know that a kid is gonna freeze his sex life for indefinite time, right? What the hell was going through his head?" Terry said

"I can't believe you think that." Len interjected "I mean, I'm the one who's never gonna be a dad here, and the one who failed biology, but even I get it. He met her right? Before any decision was made, he met her. Once you meet your kid, you're tangled up forever. And you might think you're not but if you give them away you'll never get rid of a feeling of remorse."

"Wow, Lenny, that was deep"

"Yea, where'd you get that from?"

"Just common sense."

"Funny, considering you're the one who's started the bet" Rick grinned

"One thing doesn't prevent the other. And out of the two of us, I'm the optimistic! He gave him one day, I gave him seven! I trust him"

"Well I'm not sure if I do. I mean, I love him, he's a great guy, a great musician, and everything else, but he's not reliable. Remember his first job as a waiter? I'm still waiting for the fish and chips I ordered last April"

The other two chuckled "I once lent him a t-shirt, and I swear I saw Liz Michael's wearing it" Len said

"See what I mean?"

"Yes, well, we can't do anything about it, T. It's his life"

"But this affects us too, one way or another. This affects the band. And he didn't even consult us"

"Well what did you expect him to do? Call and go <<Hey guys, are you fine with me having a daughter? No? Okay, just checking. Bye>>?" Rick imitated a phone with his hand, doing a decent impression of their friend's high voice.

"A head's up would have been nice"

"Terry, just chill for fucks shake. I mean, this is unexpected, but Row's our best friend, our brother, and we have to support him. Because, if he's a dad, that's makes us her uncle's. And it'll be fun having a little niece we can spoil" Len smiled at the idea.

"Spoil? With what money?" Terry, always realistic, put his hands on his hips

"With the upcoming tour's, of course darlings" he twirled majestically around the room

"First, that's in four months" Rick reminded

"If it does happen at all"

They still had one last song to arrange And record. Plus, they didn't know how Row was gonna make it work now he had a baby. But nobody addressed that concern out loud.

"Oh don't be so goddamn negative, fellas! C'mon! We're uncle's! Row's made a very important, life-changing, mature decision, and we should be proud of him. So" he went to the fridge and returned with three beers "I say we toast for him and the lil Queenie"

The other two grinned and accepted the cans, opening them.

"Oh, I say we Split a fourth beer in his behalf, cause parents shouldn't drink while breastfeeding" Terry mocked, earning a laugh

"To the Queens" Rick raised his can "For our little bro to take this seriously and not fuck this kid up"

"To the Queens" Terry and Len crashed theirs as well.

Meanwhile, in the hospital...

"Goddamn it, raisin! How can someone so small produce so many colors of something so stinky?" Row exclaimed, holding his breath as he clipped the fresh nappy on his daughter "We only feed you milk! Like... Like white milk! How can you turn a white liquid into rainbow pudding? Holy shit" he held the dirty one at arms length and threw it in the bin "It's a damn good thing I love you, cause I won't do this for anyone else" he told her, lifting her up to his chest again before walking around the room

"You gonna be a good girl for me for the next eighteen years? Huh?" He kissed her chubby cheek "What am I saying? You're my daughter, of course you're gonna be a trouble maker. But we'll get along, you'll see. I ain't gonna be like my parents. Don't worry. I won't be a bloody pain in the ass like mom, and I will never ever do anything my old man did. That I can promise. But I gotta admit I do want you to be like Gina. Yea, she's a control freak sometimes, but let's face it: she's gotta be the strongest person I've ever met. You should've seen her kicking the bastard out the house. She took no shit."

He smiled somewhat proudly at the memory, and for a second forgot how mad he was at her for turning her back on them.

"You wanna be a badass gurl like her? Huh? Yes you do. Yes you do" he cooed, craning his neck so he could brush his nose with her little button one. Her fist chose to close around the nearest strands of blond hair on reach, which he found secretly adorable.

But a part of him did wish he had mom's support. After all, despite the rough patches through his teens, they had always had each other's back; through thick and thin. She had have to raise him all alone, and although he hadn't even begun with Pips, he already knew it hadn't been easy. She may be stern, and a bit inflexible when it came to negotiating allowance. She could come across as rude if you caught her in the wrong mood (which many neighbors had) but above all she was a good person and a good mother.

And looking back, he hadn't been such a great son. He could have been more responsible, less handful and more obedient. Less rebellious, too. He could have thanked her more often for the thousand things she did everyday. For the meals. For all the jobs she had taken to provide for the two of them. For the surprise birthday gift she had got him with the money she had been saving: a real drum kit. For helping him move out her house into that one room crappy appartement which would be Pip's home.

But still she had rejected Piper without a second thought, regardless of her anger towards him; Pips was her granddaughter, she had done nothing wrong and as her father, Row doubted he would ever forgive Gina.

He sighed, untangling the hand of his hair and bringing it to his lips "But you don't have to worry about all that. Just concentrate on staying strong and growing up. And I promise I'll focus all of me on being the best dad. That you'll never miss a mom cause you don't need one. You've got me and I swear I'll be enough. Even if I'm still young: I'll have it all more fresh won't I?" He grinned "You're the one person who's never judged me yet, and I don't wanna let you down"

That a was vow. And he was determined to keep it.
